I have had an interest in painting for as long as I can remember, but did not develop a serious interest until I reached my twenties. After living in Los Angeles for a few years I had come to the realization that I need an outlet to release my emotions in this ever so crazy city, so I began to paint again.

I am mostly a self-taught artist yet I have studied with other artists and have attended art workshops focusing on traditional core skills of drawing, composition, color, design, and perspective. I work primarily in acrylic as well as with jewelry.

I create paintings that are very bright and vibrant. I am inspired by anything from flowers to gum wrappers. I am especially intrigued with unusual colors as well as occasionally finding a way to incorporate various body parts in my paintings.

I am convinced that the purpose of art is to convey emotions and not merely images, therefore I concentrate on painting my visions which are fueled by my experiences, interpretations, and my life.  My art comes from the heart which is more important than making pieces that conform to what everyone will find visually appealing.
